What is Acupuncture?
The Acupuncture treatment involves fine needles being inserted through the skin, to stimulate the nervous system. Its known to do the follow; release the body’s natural painkillers, such as serotonin; and endorphin, which modifies the way pain signals are received in the spinal cord and brain.
What is Acupuncture good for?
Acupuncture is commonly used for treatment for Back, Shoulder, Neck and Leg Pain. It has been a successful form of treatment for people suffering with headaches, migraines, trapped nerves, chronic muscle strains and various kinds of rheumatic and arthritic pain.
How does the process work?
Fine needles will be inserted through the skin and briefly left in that position, sometimes with manual manipulation. For best the best results acupuncture is used in combination with manual therapy. There is no set number of needles used but may only be two or three. Depending on the condition/problem at hand, treatments with Elite Movement may start at once a week to begin with and the intervals will take place over longer periods of time.
